Terms and Conditions

A placeholder outline of our boarding terms, held here ready for professional legal review before launch.

Draft for review. The headings below set out the areas our terms will cover. Nothing here has been reviewed by a solicitor, and it should not be treated as a contract.

1. About us

Love of Dogs Boarding is a licensed dog boarding establishment, licensed by West Lindsey District Council under licence AWL071.

2. Enquiries, meet and greets and trials

Boarding begins with an enquiry, a meet and greet and, where appropriate, further visits, confidence sessions and a day or overnight trial. We may postpone or decline boarding where we believe a dog would be too stressed by a stay.

3. Bookings and registration

Owners register through Revelation Pets, which we use as our booking portal. Confirmation, deposits, payment terms and cancellation arrangements will be set out here following legal review.

4. Fees and what is included

Overnight boarding is from £35 per dog per night, including VAT, including exercise at an absolute minimum of twice daily and more where needed, treats, feeding, enrichment and suitable medication. Owners provide their dog's normal food, already portioned for the stay. Feeding takes place at set times, with particular requirements accommodated where appropriate.

5. Health and vaccination requirements

The required up to date vaccinations or acceptable valid titre test evidence showing immunity must be in place under the terms of our boarding licence, with evidence provided for our records. Without the required evidence, we cannot legally board a dog. Titre testing does not cover leptospirosis, which must be provided separately where this policy requires it. Kennel cough vaccination is optional, but at least 14 full days must pass after a live kennel cough vaccine before the first day of a stay. We also require the date and product of the most recent flea and worming treatment.

6. Dogs we are unable to board

We cannot board dogs requiring injectable medication, dogs with a severe life threatening illness requiring 24 hour monitoring, or bitches in season.

7. Arrival and collection

Arrivals and collections take place in individual booked slots, with a gap between each one. Arrangements for late arrival or collection will be confirmed here.

8. Owner responsibilities

Providing accurate information about your dog, supplying portioned food and medication, bringing their usual lead and a secure collar or harness with the required identification tag, keeping records current and giving contact details for yourself and an emergency contact. We provide leads for use during the stay and have towels on site, so spare leads, towels and other unnecessary equipment are not required.

9. Veterinary treatment

Arrangements for seeking veterinary attention, and responsibility for associated costs, will be set out here following legal review.

10. Liability, insurance and complaints

To be completed at legal review.
